Magyan Clay and Paper
Vegetable Mosaics Quietchimes Paper Folding
Clay has held my attention for many years. My fascination began when I discovered that through the slip casting process I could create objects realistically in clay and arrange them in a fun and whimsical manner. This is evident in my current line of Vegetable Mosaics which combines both ceramic and glass pieces.

The Quietchime Series, another line of clay work, is quite different in that each element that makes up the hanging assemblages (except for the birds) are hand formed by pinching the clay.

In addition to being a clay artist I am also a paper folder. Folding paper (origami) has helped me to manage my time as I wait on a piece of clay to dry or fire. I currently have a line of origami jewelry that includes earrings and pins. They combine the traditional origami crane, asian charms and Swarovski crystals.

All of the work shown here can be purchased. I welcome custom orders, questions and comments.
